Position Description:


This position provides administrative and customer support for the Benefits Servicing Department.  The Benefits Service Specialist is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service and fulfills all components to benefits administration to iSolved clients.  This individual is required to work well under pressure; meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.  It is expected for this individual at all times to demonstrate cooperative behavior with co-workers and Management.


Essential Functions:

  • Provide outstanding customer service to clients and their employees
  • Communicate with carriers to resolve customer service issues
  • Process all benefit enrollments by reviewing new employee applications and submitting them to carriers
  • Complete all deduction setups
  • Process all terminations by reviewing termination reports and submitting requests to carriers
  • Complete all deduction cancellations
  • Prepare and mail COBRA notices for all qualified clients
  • Maintain data integrity of  Benefit Central data
  • Process benefits court orders for Clients
  • Verify monthly billing from carriers for accuracy
  • Match monthly billings from carriers against deduction reports to ensure appropriate deductions were taken from employees and employers.
  • Make all necessary deduction adjustments


Education Requirement:

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in a professional office setting
  • Benefits administration experience a plus


Required Skills

  • Knowledge of HRIS software
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office software, internet navigation, and database usage
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be detail oriented

Typical Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to sit at a workstation for long periods of time.
